North Florida Christian and St. John Paul II are an even 5-5 against one another  since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Panthers  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. North Florida Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6  runs per game  this season.
North Florida Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by  a  13-3 margin over Christ's Church Academy. Considering North Florida Christian has won eight matches by more than six  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Gabrielle Hughes and  Skylar Young made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing,  Hughes   tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Young   pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Hughes  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run, while  Young  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  Young has posted since back in April.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lila Riggan, who  went 4-for-5 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Hayden Stone, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 North Florida Christian  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 16  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, St. John Paul II entered their tilt with St. Joseph Academy on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Flashes get on the board and left with  a   3-0  win.
 Not much got past  AMANDA THOMPSON, who gave up just  a  hit and racked up 16 Ks to keep St. Joseph Academy off the board.
 North Florida Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for St. John Paul II,  the  win  got them back to even at 12-12.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North Florida Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.8  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. John Paul II struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 10.4  strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
