Despite the loss, Yucca Valley still got an impressive performance from Michael Ramos Jr, who rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. 81 of those passing yards were hauled in by Aiden Pope, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Rancho Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Yucca Valley, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.
