Stanwood faced Monroe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Spartans blew past the Bearcats 10-2. Considering the Spartans have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Addison Anderson made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Stanwood got a massive performance out of Reagan Ryan, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Ryan has posted since back in May of 2024. Jordan Rancourt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Stanwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.
