Basketball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' Winning Streak

It was a proper cat-fight when Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics duked it out withProvidence Athletic Club on Saturday. The Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Providence Athletic Club Panthers. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zach White, who posted 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. White's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Maenche, who went 6 for 9 en route to 16 points.

Brody Tyler went supernova for Providence Athletic Club, going 9 of 13 on his way to 25 points. Tyler is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Mark Lara was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 15 points.

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-6. As for Providence Athletic Club, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics will welcome Ridge Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season.
