Rich is 8-2 against Altamont since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Rich Rebels will look to defend their home court against the Altamont Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rich has seven straight wins, Altamont has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Tintic scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Rich still came out on top. Rich enjoyed a cozy 74-57 victory over Tintic. Rich pushed the score to 60-39 by the end of the third, a deficit Tintic cut but never quite recovered from.
Rich got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Desch out in front who shot 5-for-9 from downtown and dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 18 rebounds, and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Desch has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ridge Lundgren, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-32, which was the final score in Altamont's tilt against Tabiona on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Altamont in their matchups with Tabiona: they've now lost six in a row.
Rich pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Altamont, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
Rich took their victory against Altamont when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 65-41. With Rich ahead 40-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
