Beaumont hasn't had much luck against Citrus Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Blackhawks at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Beaumont was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Yucaipa on Friday. The Cougars breezed past the Thunderbirds to the tune of 57-10. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Beaumont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Duhu, who threw for 102 yards and three touchdowns. Braedon Miller was in the mix as well, providing the Cougars with two TDs.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Beaumont proved: they limited Yucaipa to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. The Cougars' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.6 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 8.7 on average over their last five games.
Beaumont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jeremiah McCarty picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Citrus Valley). They really took it to Redlands for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-8 victory. The Blackhawks haven't had any issues with the Terriers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Beaumont better keep an eye on Dominic Robles. He was instrumental in Citrus Valley's win, throwing for 232 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 68 yards and one score on only six carries. Those 68 rushing yards gave Robles a new career-high. Citrus Valley's leading receiver Dylan Gallegos was Robles' top target yet again, picking up 105 receiving yards and one TD.
Beaumont's record now sits at 6-2. As for Citrus Valley, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Beaumont has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 177.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Citrus Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 79 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Beaumont against Citrus Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
