Beckville has gone a perfect 6-0 against Overton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bearcats will square off against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Beckville comes in on 12 and Overton on 13.
It was a proper cat-fight when Beckville challenged Harleton on Friday. The Bearcats blew past the Wildcats 13-1. Considering the Bearcats have won 18 matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Grandgeorge made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Mauritzen, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Brilee Brumley was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one RBI.
Beckville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harleton only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, Overton got the win against Union Grove on Friday by a conclusive 11-2. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Like Beckville, Overton also got a great game from a two-way player: Kelsey Vaught. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits. Vaught was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Bryleigh Nelson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kasha Williams, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Overton pushed their record up to 16-8-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Beckville, their record now sits at 20-7-2.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Beckville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like Overton struggles in that department as they've averaged .495. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Beckville was able to grind out a solid win over Overton in their previous matchup back in April of 2019, winning 11-6. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
