The Virgin Valley Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Virgin Valley walked away with a 57-50 victory over Mater Academy East Las Vegas on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Virgin Valley also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Virgin Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Natali Isidro, who scored eight points along with five steals. Isidro hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Hayden Owlsey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds.
Virgin Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Virgin Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cristo Rey St. Viator at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. Cristo Rey St. Viator comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they will be playing at home against Moapa Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th.
