The Eastlake Titans will face off against the Granite Hills Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastlake's pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so Granite Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Eastlake lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Ramona, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. Eastlake's pitchers stepped up to hand Ramona a 10-0 shutout on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Titans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Kaili Balajadia and Camila Castillo dominated on the mound. Balajadia tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits, while Castillo tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Balajadia posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Mackenzie Olshenskie was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Rachel Del Busto also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Eastlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Granite Hills started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Christian. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Taylor Nash was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mia Downes, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Granite Hills suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 2-4-1. As for Eastlake, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1.
Eastlake was able to grind out a solid victory over Granite Hills when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastlake since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
