Donovan came out on top against La Salette Academy by a score of 49-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Donovan.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Donovan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Griffen Walters, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Walters has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Ponton, who scored five points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, La Salette Academy still got an impressive performance from Eamon Martin, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Martin's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Elijah Hall was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds.
Donovan has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for La Salette Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Anne the next time they take the court. La Salette Academy will head out to face St. Anne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Donovan will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
