St. Francis and the Blue Devils are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The St. Francis Troubadours will head out on the road to challenge the Davis Sr. Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, St. Francis came up short against the Wildcats and fell 45-36. While losing is never fun, St. Francis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Wildcats are ranked 42nd).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Chidera Okoye, who scored six points along with 17 rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Bria McGahan, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Davis Sr.'s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 57-48 to Franklin.
St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Davis Sr., their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.
St. Francis didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Blue Devils when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 66-62 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Davis Sr.'s Alia Cordone, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds.
