 On Afton's side,  Matt Carman was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.  Braydon Baciuska was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 Notre Dame is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record  this season. As for Afton, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 14-5.
 Notre Dame will head out on the road to  square off against  Deposit-Hancock at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Deposit-Hancock is coming into the  matchup with five straight  victories at home,  so Notre Dame will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum. Afton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
