White Knoll is 9-1 against River Bluff since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Timberwolves will host the Gators at 7:15 p.m. White Knoll is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

White Knoll is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Chapin just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Lexi Burkard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Jaida Gay and Reginae Porterfield stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gay went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Porterfield scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Porterfield has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Blackstone, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask River Bluff). They put the hurt on South Aiken with a sharp 16-1 victory on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Gators considering their one-run performance the game before.

River Bluff's win bumped their record up to 5-8-1. As for White Knoll, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

Everything went White Knoll's way against River Bluff when the teams last played back in March, as White Knoll made off with a 19-2 victory. Do the Timberwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
