The Charleston Tigers will face off against the Booneville Bearcats at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

 Hannah Ward made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double. That  double marked the first that  she  hit this season.
 In other batting news, Charleston got a  massive  performance out of  Ella Dodson, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. That  stolen base was  Dodson's first of the season.  Leah Oberlies was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Charleston was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .464. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in March of 2024.
 Meanwhile, Booneville can  bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They never let Clarksville get on the board and left with  an   18-0  victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bearcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous   contest.
 Charleston pushed their record up to 7-5 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Booneville, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
