The Bear River Bears will square off against the Tooele Buffaloes at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Bear River took a loss when they played away from home  back in April, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  two weeks ago. They came out on top against Logan by a score of  9-5.
  Katelyn Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Aubree Fry and  Bella Douglas did most of the damage at the plate:  Fry  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple, while  Douglas  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaya Towne, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Tooele had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Park City  a   10-0 shutout  on Saturday. Considering Tooele has won ten matchups by more than seven  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Aubrie Hansen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Hansen was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Rose Kimball was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.  Olivia Nelson was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 Bear River is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record  this season. As for Tooele, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Both  the two teams just can't seem to miss. Bear River has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 8.6  hits per game. However, it's not like Tooele struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 5. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
