They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to DME Academy Blue. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Jordan Christian Prep came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while DME Academy Blue is ranked 409th).
When it comes to explaining why Jordan Christian Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Amelia Williams. Despite the final result, she dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 13 rebounds, and ten blocks. It was the first time this season that Williams posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Delyana Morris, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Jordan Christian Prep's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7. As for DME Academy Blue, their win bumped their record up to 1-8.
Jordan Christian Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. DME Academy Blue also has no future games currently scheduled.
