 Highland was led to victory by  Jesus Licon and  Raul Stanford.  Licon  scored 20 points along with six  rebounds, while  Stanford  scored 19 points along with three  steals. Licon is crushing the point category: he's  posted at least 15 every time he's  taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was  Sebastian Hernandez, who  scored ten points along with six  assists.
 Highland has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record  this season. As for St. Pius X, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-12.
 Highland is on the road again  on Saturday and plays Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on March 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in New Mexico (Highland is ranked sixth, while Valley is ranked seventh). St. Pius X does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
