Union County will challenge Gaffney on the road at Gaffney HS at 6:00 PM on Thursday. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Union County had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Chapman 13-12.
Last Thursday, Gaffney couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. It was close but no cigar for Gaffney as they fell 12-15 to Greenwood.
Union County's win lifted them to 1-0 while Gaffney's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Union County can add another positive mark to their record or if Gaffney can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Union County's step.
