Basketball Recap: Zephyrhills Christian Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Zephyrhills Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 59-55 victory over the Northside Christian Mustangs. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-49 back in December of 2024.

Zephyrhills Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Garciano N'Tonha led the charge by putting up 18 points. N'Tonha is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sansao Wika, who posted 13 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.

Zephyrhills Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside Christian only racked up nine assists.

Northside Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elijah Ahlers, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn White, who scored 15 points and five rebounds.

Zephyrhills Christian Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. As for Northside Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Zephyrhills Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Foundation Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northside Christian will head out to challenge Shorecrest Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northside Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.2 points per game this season.
