The Olympian Eagles put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Granite Hills as Olympian made off with a 59-35 win. The result was nothing new for Olympian, who have now won five matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Nathan Cacao, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Walker, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Olympian's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Granite Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympian and Canyon Hills will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Canyon Hills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 499th, while Olympian is ranked 101st). Granite Hills and Central will face off at 3:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
