The Parsippany Redhawks will venture away from home to  challenge the Newton Braves  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Parsippany is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Friday, Parsippany needed a bit of extra time to put away Sussex County Tech. They beat Sussex County Tech by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  7-6. While the Redhawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

 Arianna Zajac was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out 12 batters over  eight innings while giving up  six earned runs off   eight  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-5 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Olivia Freire was  excellent,  going 3-for-5 with two  RBI and one  double.  Georgia Kachulis was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Parsippany was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .343 or higher in three consecutive  matchups.
Meanwhile, Newton lost  11-2 to North Warren Regional on Thursday.
 Newton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jaida Long, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Parsippany pushed their record up to 9-0 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. As for Newton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
