Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Overton). They blew past the Waskom Wildcats 13-3 on Tuesday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Rylan Holleman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Overton let Mason Rowe and Bryson Bobbitt run wild. Rowe scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Bobbitt scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Rowe has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Bryce Still, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Overton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waskom only managed six hits.

Overton's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Waskom, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Overton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Waskom: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
