West Texas has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Sanford-Fritch 51-46.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Booker sidestepped the Elks for a 47-45 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Booker.
Booker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hagen Chisum, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Xavier Aguilera, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
West Texas' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Booker, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
West Texas strolled past the Kiowas when the teams last played back in January by a score of 48-33. Will West Texas repeat their success, or do the Kiowas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
