The Manning Monarchs will be playing at home against the Aynor Blue Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Manning is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Aynor in South Carolina (Manning is ranked 120th, while Aynor is ranked 284th).
Manning can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Waccamaw by a score of 58-46.
Tavion Carter was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lovell Stevenson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Aynor's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight loss. They suffered a rough 60-38 defeat at the hands of Loris. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Aynor has suffered since December 20, 2023.
Manning's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Aynor, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Manning against Aynor in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 78-42 win. Does Manning have another victory up their sleeve, or will Aynor turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
