Two dominant forwards in Kylie Wells and Alexis Gibbons are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Madison Mohawks will head out on the road to take on the Arcanum Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Madison is ranked 289th, while Arcanum is ranked 272nd).
Last Thursday, Madison came up short against Carlisle and fell 43-35.
Meanwhile, Arcanum lost to St. Henry at home by a decisive 51-33 margin on Saturday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Caroline Long, who scored eight points along with two blocks. She hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Brooke Anderson was another key contributor, scoring two points along with three steals.
Madison's record now sits at 14-6. Arcanum's record is now 14-8.
Madison came up short against Arcanum when the teams last played back in January, falling 53-44. Can Madison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
