The North White Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 60-37 walloping at the hands of Caston. North White found out winning isn't easy when your three-point shooting is a whole 22% worse than the opposition.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dane Hood, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Hood hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Fernando Gomez was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
It was another big night for Caleb Stinson, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds for Caston. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stinson has scored at least a third of Caston's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Zeider, who scored 17 points.
North White has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Caston, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
North White will head out on the road to challenge the Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hebron will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for Caston, they will be playing at home against the Trojans at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
