Heritage Christian suffered a rough 65-41 defeat at the hands of Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Heritage Christian in their matchups with Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah: they've now lost four in a row.
Heritage Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Morgan Bluhm and Lyndsay Laakso. Bluhm scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Laakso scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Bluhm hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Karissa Noordyk, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Heritage Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Heritage Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Joseph at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Heritage Christian in Wisconsin (St. Joseph is ranked 141st, while Heritage Christian is ranked 334th). As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, they will head out on the road to square off against Mishicot at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Mishicot will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
