The Fairdale Bulldogs will square off against the Fern Creek Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Fairdale turned things around against Brown on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bears a 16-0 shutout.
R Eades made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eades was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Serenity Perry was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Krebs, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Fairdale hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Fern Creek came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-3.
Like Fairdale, Fern Creek also got a great game from a two-way player: Charlotte Brown. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Brown was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Fern Creek got a massive performance out of Lakelyn Maloney, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Zariah St. Gerard, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Fern Creek's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-12. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Fairdale, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fairdale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like Fern Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
