Everything went their way against the GV Christian Guardians on Wednesday as they made off with a 19-1 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won five matchups in a row.
Holden Jones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Gabe Rodriquez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was JD Lusk, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI.
