Alcester-Hudson won the last time they faced Parkston and things went their way  on Monday too. The Cubs put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp  15-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Cubs, who have now won 11 contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Emma Moller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 In other batting news,  Skylar Hongslo was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That  home run was  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Lexi Miiller, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI.
Alcester-Hudson pushed their record up to 13-2 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Parkston,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.

As for Parkston, they will face off against Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.67  runs per game on average), something Parkston will no doubt try to take advantage of.
