The Aberdeen Eagles were the 58-54 winner over the Dunbar Poets when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Aberdeen was the victim of a tough 74-50 defeat at the hands of Dunbar on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Aberdeen has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Aberdeen still got an impressive performance from DARION PARRIS, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. The game was PARRIS's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of MARLON JENIFER, who scored seven points.
Aberdeen has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Dunbar, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Aberdeen won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Poly at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Poly's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Dunbar will finish 2023 at home by hosting Kenwood at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kenwood is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
