Two dominant  guards in  Melody Painter and  Nia Anderson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Landmark Christian War Eagles and the Columbia Eagles will face off  at 6:00  p.m.  on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Landmark Christian comes in on four and the Eagles on seven.
 On Saturday, Landmark Christian didn't have too much trouble with the Raiders on the road   as they won  57-38. Given Landmark Christian's advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 214th, while the Raiders are ranked 481st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 It was another big night for  Nikolette Soden, who  scored 12 points along with five  steals. She hasn't dropped below three  steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was  Painter, who  scored 15 points along with six  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Columbia can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Saturday. They blew past Tucker 69-28 at home.
 Landmark Christian pushed their record up to 13-3 with that  win, which was their sixth straight  on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Columbia, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
 Landmark Christian ended up a good deal behind  the Eagles in their previous matchup  back in December of 2023, losing  51-33. Can Landmark Christian avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
