Despite the loss, Southside still got an impressive performance from Landon Simmons, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Simmons a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucas Snoddy, who posted nine points and three steals.
Westside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kmajay Jenkins out in front who went 6-for-13 to rack up 16 points and eight rebounds. Southside's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Westside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.
