While there were no new single-season national high school football records broken during the 2024 season, a number of players moved into the MaxPreps record book lists – some even finished in the top 10.
MaxPreps has updated its single-season records for passing, rushing, receiving and scoring for the 2024 season. Career and single-game records will also be updated in the near future.

Kick ScoringAlvin Henderson of
Elba (Ala.) became just the second running back in high school football history to twice rush for over 3,500 yards in a single season. He finished with 3,620 yards in 2024 and he also had 3,523 yards as a junior. Henderson comes in at No. 33 overall with his most recent effort and No. 49 with his 2023 total.
Arkeel Newsome of
Ansonia (Conn.) also had over 3,500 yards twice with 3,763 yards in 2011 and 3,867 yards in 2013.
Jordan Durham of
Zarephath Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) became just the fourth quarterback to throw for over 6,000 yards in a season, finishing at No. 3 all-time with 6,047 yards. Ben Mauk of
Kenton (Ohio) holds the all-time record with 6,540 yards and Alex Huston of
Glendale (Springfield, Mo.) is No. 2 with 6,131 yards.
Aiden Bliss of
Port Allegany (Pa.) finished in a three-way tie for 12th place all-time for single-season scoring with 408 points. He is tied with Henderson, who had 408 points in 2023, and DeShawn Smith of
Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, Fla.) in 2015.
Isaac Stinson of
Hallsville (Mo.) was the 2024 leader in receptions with 131. His total ranks in a five-way tie for 26th place all-time with Aldo Hernandez of
Alexander (Laredo, Texas) in 2008, Kirby Moore of
Prosser (Wash.) in 2008, Zach Grant of
Rochester (Ill.) in 2011 and Jaivon Heiligh of
Venice (Fla.) in 2017.
Jayvan Boggs of
Cocoa (Fla.) led the nation with 2,133 yards receiving. That total is good for 25th place all-time and just 26 yards behind Heiligh's state record of 2,159 yards.
Christian Munguia of
Randle (Richmond, Texas) finished with 130 kicking points on 97 extra points and 11 field goals. The total places him tied with six others in 16th place all-time.
