Kern Valley hasn't had much luck against Bishop Union recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Kern Valley Broncs will head out to  take on the Bishop Union Broncos  at 7:00  p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kern Valley comes in on three and Bishop Union on four.
 Last Friday, Kern Valley strolled past California City with  points to spare, taking the game  21-6.
  Zane Carver and  Carson Parks were among the main playmakers for Kern Valley as the former rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave  Parks a new career-high in  rushing yards.
 Kern Valley was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 265  rushing yards. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 88.4  rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've averaged 215.7.
 Kern Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Bryce Smoot and  Jeffrey Clark. Clark also  snagged  an  interception, which is notable because Kern Valley is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  one  interception, but 1-3 otherwise.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Bishop Union). They never let Desert onto the board and left with  an   85-0  win  on Friday. Considering the Broncos have won six matches by more than 19  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Emory Dondero was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.  Nelo Dondero was in the mix  as well, providing Bishop Union with two touchdowns.
 The  victory  got Kern Valley back to even at 4-4. As for Bishop Union, their win was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-2.
 Kern Valley was dealt a bruising  43-12 loss at the hands of Bishop Union in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023. Can Kern Valley avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
