With a playoff game on the line, Nazareth Area rose to the challenge  on Monday. They skirted past the Freedom Patriots  3-1. The  win was familiar territory for Nazareth Area who now have three in a row.
 Nazareth Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mason Kuehner, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 On Freedom's side,  Matt Heineman was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed six innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits.
 Nazareth Area has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record  this season. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
 As of now, neither Nazareth Area nor Freedom have any future games scheduled.
