On Saturday, Pleasanton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over LEE.

Marcus Guardiola made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jayden Arrendondo was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Somerset, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Carrizo Springs on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Eleazar Hernandez spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gavin Martinez, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for Somerset: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 11-12 otherwise. Theodore Perez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Somerset was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Pleasanton pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Somerset, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Pleasanton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Somerset struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Pleasanton took their win against Somerset when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
