The Lancaster Tigers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 84-37 win over Pinkston on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-9.
When it comes to explaining why Pinkston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cenaya Calhoun- jingles. Despite the final result, she scored 28 points. The matchup was Calhoun- jingles' 12th in a row with at least ten points.
Pinkston struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. Pinkston is winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Pinkston, they have yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 1-13 record.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Lincoln is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Pinkston, they will head out on the road to face off against Waxahachie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Waxahachie presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pinkston in Texas (Waxahachie is ranked 202nd, while Pinkston is ranked 1270th).
