The Monroe County Falcons pushed their score all the way to 66 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 105-66 defeat at the hands of Gatlinburg-Pittman. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (61), Monroe County still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Ty Glasper, who shot 4-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double on 33 points and 12 assists for Gatlinburg-Pittman. The matchup was Glasper's 18th in a row with at least ten points. Carlos Orr was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Monroe County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Monroe County and Russell County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Russell County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 537 points over their last eight games. Gatlinburg-Pittman will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Oneida at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th.
