Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Latta walked away with it. They beat the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won four matches in a row.

Latta pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.75 runs across that stretch. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

Latta will have a chance to go back-to-back against Hannah-Pamplico: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
