Volleyball Recap: Madison Wins Going Away Against Westbury

Madison won the last time they faced Westbury and things went their way on Friday too. The Marlins put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Marlins.

One reason for the win was Madison's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-11, 25-8.

Coryn Fields paced Madison's offense, picking up 13 kills. Fields got some help from Maci Odums and her 19 assists. Odums also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jaelynn Joseph, racking up four apiece.

Madison's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Westbury, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Madison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Sterling on the 9th. As for Westbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Sharpstown on the 9th.
