 On the hitting side,  Claire Davenport was  excellent,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brooklyn Burnett, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  triple.
As for William Blount,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 17-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat they have suffered  since March 14th.
On William Blount's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Katee Owens gave up  just two earned  (and five unearned) runs on nine hits. Owens has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Chloe Merriman was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.  Trinity Johnson was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  doubles and one  RBI.
