It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Aubrey Rogers Patriots can now relate to. They took a 73-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys/Cowgirls on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Rose, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rose has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Muhammad Yusuf, who scored 16 points.
Aubrey Rogers has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for LaBelle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-14.
Aubrey Rogers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for LaBelle, they will face off against Gateway at TBD on Thursday. Gateway is coming into the game with five straight victories on the road, meaning LaBelle will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
