Liberty is 2-8 against Heritage since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Liberty Lions will look to defend their home pitch against the Heritage Patriots at 6:00 p.m.
Liberty unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pittsburg by a score of 2-1.
Meanwhile, Heritage had just enough and edged Freedom out 2-1 on Tuesday.
Heritage was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Hatim Abumailish and
Joao Faria, who scored both of Heritage's goals. The pair have combined for a total of five so far this season.
Liberty's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4-2. As for Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10-1 record this season.
Liberty was able to grind out a solid win over Heritage in their previous matchup back in January, winning 3-1. Does Liberty have another victory up their sleeve, or will Heritage turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
