Iota had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. They walked away with  a   4-1  win over the South Beauregard Knights. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.
 Haydyn Schexnayder made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Schexnayder wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Abigail LeJeune, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2. Another  was  Addison Cormier, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base.
Iota pushed their record up to 26-3 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for South Beauregard, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iota will venture away from home to  face off against Acadiana  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for South Beauregard, they will head out to  challenge Hicks  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three matches.
