Pusch Ridge Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Valley Christian on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 70-68.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Noelle Sunukjian, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. She scored a full 27.9% of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sedona Dietrich, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Ironwood Ridge can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They really took it to Harmony Science Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-23 win on the road. The victory was just what Ironwood Ridge needed coming off of a 91-34 defeat in their prior match.
Their wins bumped Pusch Ridge Christian Academy to 4-4 and Valley Christian to 3-0.
