The Emery Spartans can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Delta 60-30 at home. With Emery ahead 38-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Emery found their leader in underclassman Kenadie Maughan, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. KaBree Gordon was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Emery's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Delta, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emery will square off against Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Richfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Delta on the road again on Thursday and play against Carbon at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. One thing working in Carbon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
