The Warren Hills Regional Blue Streaks will face off against the Parsippany Hills Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Parsippany Hills took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Warren Hills Regional, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Warren Hills Regional took their contest with ease, bagging a 34-7 victory over Randolph. The Blue Streaks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 27 points or more this season.
Cohl Stevens was his usual excellent self, throwing for 178 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 108 yards on only 11 carries. Warren Hills Regional's leading receiver Mekhi Garrett was Stevens' top target yet again, picking up 45 receiving yards, while also rushing for 68 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Warren Hills Regional was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Warren Hills Regional's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB nine times. Leading the way was Cyles Oyarce-Santiago with two sacks. Thadius Lanfrank was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Parsippany Hills took a blow against West Morris Central on Friday, falling 44-7. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Wolfpack are ranked 64th).
Parsippany Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Warren Hills Regional, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Everything came up roses for Warren Hills Regional against Parsippany Hills in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-0 victory. Will the Blue Streaks repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
