The Purvis Tornadoes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forrest County Agricultural. Purvis was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aggies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Thursday.
Several Tornadoes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Systren Eliza Elenus, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Eliza Elenus has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Zoey Robinson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Purvis dropped their record down to 12-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Forrest County Agricultural, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16.
Purvis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Forrest County Agricultural will head out on the road to challenge the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
