The Washington Pam Pack's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 66-18 loss at the hands of North Pitt. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Washington in their matchups with North Pitt: they've now lost seven in a row.
North Pitt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zamareya Jones out in front who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Speller, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Washington's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.5 points per game. As for North Pitt, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Washington will head out on the road to take on Greene Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Greene Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Wednesday. As for North Pitt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cape Fear at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Cape Fear is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
